Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! The administration, faculty, and staff are preparing for our upcoming year with the safety of everyone in mind. I am so excited about the various learning opportunities for students and parents in our community. At West Newton, we are committed to collaboration and preparing students to be lifelong learners in a rapidly changing society. I encourage your input and support as we focus on increasing achievement for all students. What's Happening

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Greetings West Newton Elementary Parents,

WNES will be conducting our Attendance Incentive Program to assist with students' absences and/or tardies.  The program will include a monthly incentive (reward) for coming to school daily and on time.   We will celebrate every 2^nd Wednesday of the month and would like as many of our students to participate.  Parents, please assist your children by coming to school daily and on time (tardy is at 7:40AM), and please continue contacting the school, if for any reason your child is absent or tardy.  

Also, if your child is tardy we will require you to bring them in the building for safety purposes, NO MORE DROP-OFF, effective Monday, August 22, 2022.

Hello everyone! Today marks the beginning of our Kids Heart Challenge. This is a two-week challenge (Feb 3rd-14th) designed to educate our students at West Newton Elementary about kids with special hearts, and to learn how to administer CPR. Here is what we need from you:

1. Please have your child sign-up for the Kids Heart Challenge at http://www2.heart.org/goto/westnewton  (they will receive a free wristband for signing up).
2. Complete the 8 online challenges to win a heart hero cape (all of the challenges together are called Finn's mission). 
3. Donate towards the American Heart Association for your child to win various prizes (toys, shirts, medals,  raffle for two Super Bowl tickets next year, etc).
