Greetings! We are excited about the opportunity to work with you and your child this school year. The information listed below will tell you a little about our procedures and expectations.
Communication
Communication this year will be through Remind and Messenger. You may also email your child’s teacher. The emails are listed below for each Third-grade teacher.
Behavior System
Our school implements a school wide behavior plan called Positive Behavior Intervention and Support. This is an economy system that allows students to earn PBIS points throughout the day by demonstrating the following:

Work Together
Show Respect
Homework
Your child will receive nightly homework. Homework will be assigned on Monday for the entire week. Parents, please take the time to check your child’s homework every night. If for some reason your child is not able to complete his or her homework, please send a message or email to let us know.
School Supply List
The school supply list is posted on the West Newton website. Some additional supplies may be requested from time to time. We will notify you via a Remind message two weeks in advance when special materials will be needed.
